Fire Alarm Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA (Metro Area)

Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 (DOE)

A well-established Fire Protection Contractor serving the Atlanta metro area is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee fire alarm system projects from kickoff through closeout. This role focuses on project execution, coordination, code compliance, budgeting, scheduling, and customer satisfaction across commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage fire alarm projects from contract award through final acceptance and closeout.
  • Coordinate system design, permitting, installation, testing, and inspections in compliance with NFPA 72, local AHJ requirements, and applicable building codes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, inspectors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Review and approve fire alarm drawings, submittals, material lists, and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Track project costs, labor, and materials to ensure profitability.
  • Manage subcontractors and field technicians to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Address RFIs, field issues, and AHJ comments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure proper documentation, testing reports, as-builts, and closeout packages are completed.
  • Support estimating and sales teams during preconstruction when needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing fire alarm system projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, local AHJ requirements, and fire alarm system design principles.
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, or multi-family projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software, AutoCAD (or ability to review drawings), and Microsoft Office.
  • NICET Level II or III in Fire Alarm Systems (or ability to obtain) strongly preferred.
  • Georgia low-voltage or fire alarm license a plus (or ability to obtain).
