Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Work with the Fire Protection Team to prepare designs, hydraulic calculations, stock listing, and installation drawings
- Manage multiple projects while meeting tight design deadlines and respond RFIs to meet construction deadlines
- Produce 3D construction drawings and 3D models for different types of fire suppression and life safety systems using Revit, HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and Navisworks
- Lead in-field design validation and preparation of as-built drawings and maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation
- Develop Revit families, standard details, and manage BIM files
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and fire regulations
Job Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or RME-G licensed is preferred
- Minimum 4 years of fire sprinkler design experience
- NICET certification for water-based fire protection systems layout
- Proficiency in 3D software, such as Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks, Revizto and Bluebeam
- Experience with HydraCAD, HydraCALC, or other sprinkler design programs
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14 and so on
