We’re seeking a motivated and dependable Fire & Life Safety Technician to join our growing Northeast Arkansas team. This role is ideal for self-starters who enjoy working independently while remaining part of a collaborative, safety-driven organization. The technician will perform testing, inspection, service, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems in a heavy industrial environment.

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required

Work Location Requirements

This position works at the same industrial job site daily, located in Blytheville, AR.

Candidates must live within 60 miles of Blytheville, AR and within Northeast Arkansas or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Test and inspect fire and life safety systems including fire extinguishers, exit and emergency lighting, eyewash stations, and special hazard systems.

Perform approved service and maintenance on fire and life safety equipment.

Complete accurate, detailed inspection reports documenting deficiencies and corrective actions.

Ensure work is completed per the proposed scope and schedule in coordination with the Inspection Coordinator.

Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection and service results with customers.

Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, company procedures, and applicable codes.

Study and stay current on NFPA requirements, industry standards, and code updates.

Maintain company equipment, tools, supplies, and vehicle (if assigned) in good working condition.

Process work orders and complete required documentation accurately and on time.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED required.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record meeting company requirements.

Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage time effectively.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Flexible, action-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.

Ability to work a full-time schedule.

Availability for overtime, nights, and weekends as needed to meet customer requirements.

Results-oriented individual with strong work ethic and initiative.

Physical Requirements

Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.

Lift a minimum of 75 lbs. and carry at least 50 lbs. repeatedly.

Push and pull more than 100 lbs. as needed.

Safely climb ladders and reach heights of at least 12 ft.

Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and repetitive motion.

Occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, balancing, crouching, and exposure to weather.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Exposure to chemicals and ventilation areas; must not be skin or respiratory sensitive (MSDS available).
