Company Description Otter Stone, Inc. is dedicated to helping architects navigate complex building and fire codes so they can focus on design and project outcomes. The company specializes a plugin that automates code compliance by analyzing user's Revit files.
Responsibilities
Role Description The Life Safety Consultant is a full-time remote role responsible for advising on building code, explaining. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing regulations and advising on how to implement these into our software stack and algorithms.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- High familiarity with building codes (IBC, no need for any state local expertise).
- 3+ years experience in applying said building codes to real projects/floors plans (preferred: residential and workplace).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations internally.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture, or a related field.
- Expert user of Revit strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Python and basics of computer programming strongly preferred.
