Purpose:  The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, installing, programming, and maintaining various fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties include the following:

  • Inspects, services, installs, programs and maintains fire alarm systems
  • Tests, troubleshoots and repairs fire alarm systems
  • Communicates with supervisor on projects
  • Reads and understands construction related documents and blueprints
  • Maintains strong understanding of a service-oriented environment
  • Adheres to all company and industry safety standards; maintains a safe working environment
  • Completes service documentation, inspection reports, and timecards
  • Works independently and completes job duties with moderate supervision
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment, including taking direction from supervisors
  • Works well under pressure
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Denver Journeyman's License (if relocating, obtain license within 90 days)
  • At least two (2) years experience in Technical/Electrical field(s)
  • Possesses clean criminal background and drug test
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills
  • Possesses excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic
  • Self-motivated and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work at heights and lift at least 55 lbs

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered)
  • Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas
  • Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
  • Able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overhead
  • Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead
