Responsibilities

Role Description This full-time, on-site Kitchen Fire Suppression Tech role is based in Bath, PA. The Kitchen Fire Suppression Tech is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining kitchen fire suppression systems in commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Daily tasks include performing routine service calls, troubleshooting system issues, documenting inspections and repairs, and communicating findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams. The role also involves working with other fire protection equipment as needed, following safety protocols, and maintaining accurate records in service reports and company systems. The individual in this position collaborates with colleagues and customers to deliver reliable, high-quality fire safety services.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of kitchen fire suppression systems and related Fire Suppression Systems to perform installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance.
  • Understanding of Fire Safety and Life Safety principles to ensure systems and work practices meet regulatory and industry standards.
  • Experience working with Fire Extinguisher equipment, including inspection, maintenance, and basic repairs.
  • Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues with suppression systems and associated fire protection components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, codes, and system drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accurate documentation of service activities.
  • Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach when interacting with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for service calls; capability to lift equipment and work in commercial kitchen environments.
  • Prior experience in fire protection or a related technical trade is preferred; industry certifications (e.g., manufacturer or NFPA-related) are a plus.
