Responsibilities
This position will support the team in providing their clients with fire and life safety code analysis, egress modelling, fire resistant rated construction analysis, automatic suppression system design and analysis, fire detection, alarm and communication system design and analysis, smoke control system design, site inspections and witness of life safety system testing, FHA, as well as general fire protection and life safety tasks.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
- Five or more years of experience in fire protection engineering and ideally a consulting environment
- PE certification or ability to obtain within 2 years
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in computer usage for daily tasks
- Experience in technical writing and project management
- Ability to analyze building codes and prepare life safety plans
- Design experience with fire protection systems
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is a bonus
