Our firm has been in business for over 60 years and we're launching a new office in the Charlotte, NC market. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join a growing division and create something exciting. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to ensure the safety and compliance of fire protection systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in various environments, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and standards. Additionally, we would like this person to also capitalize on inspection sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes.
  • Test and evaluate fire sprinkler systems, documenting findings and recommending necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with contractors and clients to schedule inspections and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with NFPA standards and regulations related to fire protection and safety.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding fire sprinkler systems.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active NICET 3 in Fire Sprinkler Inspection
  • Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Inspector
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and relevant codes (NFPA, OSHA)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physical ability to perform inspections at various job sites, including commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Ability to travel throughout the local markets
