Piper Electric, a Crete United Company, is seeking a Fire Alarm Installer to join our growing low-voltage and life safety team. This position is responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of commercial fire alarm systems in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.

The ideal candidate has experience working with fire alarm systems in commercial or industrial environments, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and wiring diagrams, installing conduit and devices, pulling and terminating cable, assisting with system startup, and ensuring all work is completed to Piper Electric's quality standards.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, and maintain alarm systems in commercial and governmental buildings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout and installation of alarm systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system operation and maintenance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of alarm system installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience in fire alarm systems is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers.
  • Valid Drivers License in good standing.
  • Ability to pass background check and Drug Screen.
