Lead Fire Alarm Technician
A fire alarm technician is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. As a lead technician, it is their task and responsibility to review electrical layout blueprints to determine whether a building’s fire alarm systems comply with electrical and fire safety codes.
Responsibilities

- Install commercial fire alarm installations from start to finish with minor supervision.
- Test and certify systems with local AHJ's
- Pull wire
- Minimal conduits work
- Trim devices
- Troubleshoot
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills of Lead Fire Alarm Technician
- NICET Certification Level II or III is required to install commercial fire alarms in the Northern California area
- Ability to read and understand engineered drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications
- Familiar with local ordinances and codes for fire alarm systems
- Ability to work from heights with ladders and lifts
- Clean DMV record
- Graduate of State Approved Apprenticeship
- CA State Fire/Life Safety Certification is a plus
- Experience with Notifier. Bosch POTTER is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Low voltage experience with Security, Card Access, Nurse Call, & CCTV preferred.
