Beach Lake Sprinkler Fire Protection Services, a subsidiary of Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Company, was founded in 1992 and is a well-rounded fire protection company with two offices: Beach Lake, PA and Brooksville, FL. We excel in new construction, renovation, retrofit, and service work for warehouse, distribution, pharmaceutical, hospital, nursing home, industrial, residential and retail markets.
Due to continued growth, we are actively seeking to fill Fire Alarm Technician positions in our Brooksville, FL location. As a Fire Alarm & Detection Technician, you will be responsible for managing daily service calls for a multitude of Fire Alarm systems, repairs, replacements and upgrades. Position will include new project installation and commissioning of the systems. May be asked to do Annual Inspections or support.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Fire Alarm Technician, you will:
- Identify fire alarm deficiencies.
- Possess knowledge of different types of panels and how to access systems for testing or service.
- Troubleshoot issues on panel to determine which part of the fire alarm system is in need of repair or replacement.
- Read and use a multi meter properly.
- Give proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers.
- Keep up with NICET certifications.
- Cover on-call hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience for Fire or Electrical low voltage experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Familiarity with Siemens systems, EST, etc.
- Travel between customer sites daily
- Good communication and customer skills.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license
- NICET certification preferred
- Fire Alarm System programming preferred
- BASA FASA certification within 30 days of hire.
- Familiar with NFPA codes and requirements
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic)
- Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably.
