Responsibilities
Fireproofer
Must be able to prepare and apply fire protection systems and sound control coatings. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are being used for the specified tasks.
- Prepare and apply fire protection systems and sound control using coatings such as cement, gypsum, and acrylic.
- Reads blueprints and data to determine requirements for the job.
- Must be able to select the amount and type of fireproofing to be installed as well as a method of application according to the type and shape of surface.
- Demonstrate the installation, fitting, fabrication and attachment of fireproofing materials.
- Organize and order material as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education – no minimum education requirements.
Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License.
Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
