Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors at a healthcare medical examiner location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, perimeter locations, parking areas, and restricted-access points, to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
