Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

  • Fire Alarm Programming : 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • S98 (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate estimates, budgets, and proposals for new installations, retrofits, and service projects.
  • Perform site assessments and interpret drawings/specs to determine NFPA 72, NYC Building Code, and FDNY requirements.
  • Create detailed takeoffs (devices, circuits, risers, power/load calcs) and bill of materials.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and clients to clarify scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Provide Siemens programming support (Cerberus PRO), troubleshooting guidance, and technical submittal input.
  • Participate in vendor/subcontractor pricing, value engineering, and risk reviews.
  • Support project handoff, ensuring estimates align with execution plans, budgets, and milestones.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience estimating fire alarm systems and managing cost, scope, and risk.
  • Proficiency with Siemens fire alarm systems (programming & troubleshooting) a PLUS.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable NYC/FDNY codes and permitting practices.
  • High proficiency reading construction documents (plans/specs), performing takeoffs, and preparing proposals.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple bids concurrently.
  • S-98 Certificate of Fitness (a Plus)
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to visit sites across the NY Metro area.

Preferred

  • Prior field/commissioning.
  • NICET Fire Alarm certification(s).
