How We Help People

MTC’s core mission is to help individuals succeed in life and thrive in their communities. We offer immigration detention, corrections, education and training, and medical services around the world, delivering programs and services that transform lives. MTC currently:

• Provides effective rehabilitative programs and services in the U.S., United Kingdom, and Australia to reduce re-offending
• Partners with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to provide individuals in their care with safe, respectful, and clean living environments
• Cares for the medical, dental, and mental health needs of corrections and detention residents
• Educates and trains young Americans so they have the technical and life skills they need to find and keep good jobs

Where We Help People

MTC operates 13 Job Corps centers, 10 correctional facilities, 11 prison and detention medical departments, 3 community release centers, 14 detention centers, 13 treatment programs, and 2 outpatient behavioral health programs, worldwide—with a mission to help improve people’s lives. MTC is headquartered in Centerville, Utah and employs more than 8,000 staff worldwide.

The MTC Impact

MTC currently:

• Provides corrections and immigration detention services to more than 17,800 residents in the U.S. and 2,300 in Australia
• Delivers healthcare services to nearly 13,000 men and women across the United States
• Offers treatment programs to more than 5,300 incarcerated individuals in Texas
• Additionally, through the U.S. federal Job Corps program, MTC educates and trains over 5,700 students each year, equipping them with the skills and opportunities they need to build successful futures.
